2 SEO Blunders to Avoid

Here are some SEO blunders to be avoided.

1. Too much Flash or images. Until recently, search engines were unable to read text embedded in those. Even now, it's doubtful how much of it they will read. The Googles of this world are trained to chew on text. Recently a lawyer (name understandably withheld) approached us asking why his site was being ignored by Google. It turned out he had a Flash-only site! Ouch!

A little Flash, or some images, are ok, but only as part of your total text content.

2. Keyword Spamming. This is one of the things the creepy crawlers simply hate, and penalize big time! Whether it's just the endless and unnecessary repetition of keywords (which is, incidentally, also a foolproof way of boring visitors into escaping), or the more sophisticated but highly suicidal ALT method of hiding (example: white on white) lots of keywords - don't. Don't. DON'T.
